The Universe

Houkai Gakuen 2 universe (Houkai2nd-verse) contain multiple universes within the game as well as other media. Some of them do have some sort of interaction with the main universe which is the main story of the game.

The Multiverse

According to official game glossary and various in-game events, parallel universes or spacetime rollback can be accessed through "Reality-distorting field" which can create multiple universes when characters walk into those fields.

The Main Universe

The main universe comes with different timelines: Era: ZERO, Retrospect and Newborn (including Legacy).

• Wonderland: A continent constructed by human cognition and Houkai energy, an alternative universe where servants are either exist in the first place, created from human consciousness or were isekai-ed from the main universe. There is a gap in space between the world of servant and the world of human beings, which is convenient for human beings to summon the servants. Kiana seems to somehow able to access this area in person.
• Babylon: A universe within the main universe (the exact location is Schicksal's secret room used to store awakened weapons) for Godhead Awakens who study in Babylon Academy.
• (Retrospective) Seele's Fairy Tale, Nightmare and Candyland: Seele's Fairy Tale is a quantum universe which is created by Seele's consciousness and is accessible through dreams. Candyland is also a part of Seele's Fairy Tale but only accessible after Nightmare universe clashed with as Cocolia attempted to revive Seele using Herrscher's power.
• Fire Moth DLC: Pocket universe within Houraiji Kyuusyou's stigmata with entirely separate timeline compared to main universe.
  • Mei's virtual home: Seele phased into Quantum state to enter a virtual space where Bronya stuck with "little Mei".
• Sirin's pocket universe: A pocket universe from 2nd Herrscher's power and Sirin used it to evade in some events.
• Nikki Up2U2: World Traveller: It's possible that Nikki were disappeared in the main universe then reincarnated into Wonderland. She can be found in the first chapter of Houkai: Servant Era.
• miHoYo CROSS: It is possible that Honkai Impact 3rd is a parallel universe or share the same area within Houkai Gakuen 2, equipment from HI3 universe do share same series as HG2 and characters do have some sort of interaction with the main universe.

Higher entity compared to the current Houkai Gakuen 2 universe

• The player that is referred as "master" by Bronya and Seele, "you" by Ling Yi / storyteller: Has an impact on how the game progresses
• Ling Yi / storyteller: is aware HG2 is a game and also the one who created/wrote the game story (and a part of HI3)
• People who are outside of main universe and are aware Houkai Gakuen 2 is a game

Kevin's Multiverses (Otherworld Original): Kevin's Multiverses is confirmed by Kevin himself that he both doing the same "Rescue Mei" for thousand of times and also bring Kiana from the main universe into, explained that "It is based on Kevin Kaslana's choice is the center, one of the huge world lines that spread out - Everything you see is just a touch of bubbles in the tiny universe".

Misty Manor: a mysterious manor surrounded by dense fog is located in Changkong City, the exact location is unknown. The reality distortion stance caused by the Houkai explosion making the spatial dislocation of the area, which caused the area to be separated from the reality dimension, and the fog surrounding the manor was actually a manifestation of the space boundary blurring.

The Godhead Universe

Godheads are special entity that have their own universe in Houkai Gakuen 2, set in an academy called Babylon. Most students that came to Babylon are from different timeline and possibly different universes.

• From Lupit's story, it's seems that all things in the Babylon are made from Faith.

Universes / timelines before Babylon:

• The Original land: The birthplace of the Fantasy godheads, however, most of godheads except Lupit cannot get close to it. The place is filled with lots of Chaotic Faiths (radiation-like), the Fantasy godheads will even disappear directly here.
• The Future City: The city was blown up by Gatling before she was teleported to Babylon by unknown method.
• Hell: Confirmed in Abaddon's story which she was deceived and abandoned in the wilderness by human when she was sent to the human world from the Hell.
• ■■■ (SCP) Foundation universe: It is known that ■■■-001 is an unknown entity that only appears in the ruins of cities that have been destroyed by disaster in multiple timelines and was later found by the ■■■ Foundation.
• Dreamland continent: Only exist in dreams, common sense will fail to apply in this continent. If being "cursed" by Dreamland, they cannot sleep and their mind will be tormented by her.

Non-canon Universes

Non-canon Universes only applies to characters in the main universe (not include Godheads and Wonderland) and they don't interact with the main universe, this includes:

• Wedding
• Schoolgirls
• Cooking
• Beach
• Etc...

The Houkai Destruction rating

The Houkai destructions can have different ratings depending on how much damage it caused into an area, specifically:

• Houkai Outbreak: usually small scale of Houkai enemies appear.
• The Great Houkai: this indicate that the Houkai has caused a city-scale outbreak and destruction, usually having Herrscher in the area.
• Houkai "dead spot": When a Herrscher reaches "Final tier", there will be a "dead spot" mark appeared in the sky, indicate the end of the Earth. This may potentially have higher damage than the Great Houkai (up to planet-scale destruction) but was not called by the same name if they didn't cause much damage.

A Herrscher appearance does not immediately qualified for the Great Houkai, only when they caused a city scale or higher destruction and killed large amount of human.

• For example Sirin's reborn, Wendy goes hiding after becomes Herrscher, Delta or Nina merely does much damage to the human population, Cthulhu shot and destroy the moon, etc... are not qualified for the Great Houkai
• The entire duration from when Sirin turned into Herrscher to when killed by Schicksal, or from the time Raiden Mei caused large-scale Houkai Outbreak to the time when God Kiana destroyed the world each are called the Second and the Third Great Houkai.

HW

A unit of Houkai energy used in Era: ZERO, used to determine the power or resistance rating of an object or a person.

• Era: ZERO Valkyrie armor resistance rating: 6000 HW
• Kiana (Era: ZERO) physical resistance rating: >6000 HW
